These uprights are precision CNC'd from billet T6- or T7 (depending application) and are a complete upright assembly. They are available for both Subaru and Mitsubishi applications, and are tailored to each clients exact requirements.
Gravel, Tarmac, or circuit versions are available.
Some standard features included are:
- Carbon Key-Locking inserts for radial mount caliper installation. This type of caliper mount eliminates flex from various adapter brackets from big brake kits and applied forces.
- Reinforced mounting points for struts, tie-rods, calipers, and ball joints increase strength to weight ratio far exceeding the performance of the original factory components.
- Extruded segment to protect axle housing from debris.
- Integrated heat guards for tie-rod and ball joint rubbers can be included in non adjustable versions.
- Replacement tie rod end units are optional, and would require additional parts. This option offers the highest strength, performance, and reliability for endurance racing and competition use. Can be made as an adjustable steering arm.
- Mounts for ABS and Wheel speed sensors (included)
- Our units retain the use of STI 2005 two-piece style wheel bearing (specify if 5x100 pattern is needed) or our EXCLUSSIVE ceramic bearing replacement option. Ceramic bearings are lighter, stronger, and offer less friction = less power loss.
- Can adjust location of steering arm and lower ball joint location (for professional teams only) if using bearing mounted rod ends and ball joints / suspension arms.
- Lowered caliper mounting position to reduce center of mass for improved handling characteristics.
- Proper wheel motion ratios and bump steer for a corrected ride height are achieved with our design (special geometry available upon request). Standard units come with corrected geometry for a 1.0" drop. This allows the use of factory BBS wheels, and matches the correction achieved with our rear sub frame unit as well.
- Up-to 235% more rigid at strut mounting point than factory units.
